Best wireless headphone deals for November 2019
By Josh Levenson

If you’re looking to snag an incredible pair of headphones — be it wired, wireless, or even noise-canceling — on the cheap, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve rounded up all of the best headphone deals available right now, and with the list including everything from the latest Apple AirPods to the Sony WH-1000XM3, there’s bound to be something for everyone.

So, what’s available? Quite a lot, actually. For example, Best Buy has knocked $160 off the Beats Solo 3 Wireless, Bose is selling the QuietComfort 35 on the cheap, and Walmart has a rare discount on the Apple AirPods 2. You’ll need to act fast to bag a bargain though as these retailers have only set aside a limited amount of stock for each deal — and when it’s gone, it’s gone.

Beats Solo 3 Wireless — $140 ($160 off)

Beats Solo 3 Wireless

A somewhat acquired taste, Beats carved a name for itself in the hip-hop market, with its bass-dominant sound being the main reason customers keep coming back. But there’s more to the Solo 3 Wireless than kick and punch; they’re small and nimble, so they can be folded up and dropped into a handbag, backpack, or even a fanny pack (if that’s more your speed).

What’s even more interesting than sound and the flat-pack design is the Apple-made chipset that drives it all. It’s the Apple W1, the same chip that drives the aforementioned AirPods (but not the AirPods 2). Why is that interesting, you ask? Because it helps the Beats Solo 3 Wireless last for up to 40 hours on a single charge — and that’s something to write home about.

Apple AirPods

We’ll cut straight to the chase: The AirPods are the world’s most popular true wireless headphones, offering fantastic sound and exceptional user experience — all wrapped up in a futuristic shell. The AirPods 2 (with Wireless Charging Case) take that a step further, throwing a more intelligent version of Siri, better battery life, and wireless charging into the mix.

Other brands, namely Bose and Samsung, have attempted to steal the true wireless crown from Apple, but they’ve yet to come close in terms of sheer ease of use and convenience — they’re all too cumbersome and finicky. So if you’ve been eyeing up a set of Pods for a while but have been waiting for an all-too-uncommon deal, there’s never been a better time to pull the trigger.

Beats Solo 3 Wireless — $200 ($50 off)

powerbeats pro

The Powerbeats Pro is a must-have for anyone looking for a set of true wireless earbuds that isn’t the Apple AirPods. With Beats being owned by Apple, there isn’t a whole lot of difference in how the buds connect to an iPhone and interact with Siri. Consider this as a refinement to the AirPods — it’s more comfortable, with water- resistance baked in. So sweat away.

Plus, the sound quality is in a different league, the design is far superior and makes for a secure fit in the ear, and the battery life is second to none. All in all, it doesn’t get better than this in the ture wireless earbuds space, with the Powerbeats Pro appealing to both commuters and fitness fiends alike. Just keep in mind the bundled charging case is a little on the large side.

Beats Solo 3 Wireless — $215 ($135 off)

best tech ifa 2019 sennheiser pxc 550 ii

It’s rare to find a fantastic-sounding set of noise-canceling cans that look nimble and minimalist, without protruding buttons and cutouts, but Sennheiser hit the nail on the head with the PXC 550. In fact, it’s one of the best over-ear headphones out there, delivering “top-notch sound and whisper-soft noise canceling,” according to our own Ryan Waniata.

You don’t have to be constantly traveling to get the most from the Sennheiser PXC 550, either. Sure, they’re fantastic at blocking out the sound of a Rolls-Royce RB211 engine on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, but they also excel at more basic tasks, like canceling out the background noise on a bus or a train, on the street, and even in the gym.

Beats Solo 3 Wireless — $230 ($120 off)

amazon walmart and best buy fathers day sale on apple ring tvs bose quietcomfort 35

Succeeded by the Bose 700, the QuietComfort 35 was once Bose’s flagship noise-canceling headphone. That’s not to mean it’s an old hat, though — the QuietComfort 35 are still some of the best sound-blocking cans on the market, delivering balanced audio (even at the loudest of volume) and around 20 hours of life per charge — and now they’re on sale for $120 off.

Because Bose is pushing the Bose 700 as the best thing since sliced bread, retailers have reduced the QuietComfort 35 to keep sales ticking, so consider this your proverbial golden ticket; it’s a chance to own one of the best sets of noise-canceling headphones on the market right now for a fraction of their shelf price. Seriously, this is one of those deals you don’t want to miss.

Beats Solo 3 Wireless — $275 ($75 off)

best headphones sony sh-1000mx2

We named the Sony WH-100XM3 the best headphone of 2018 after it received a 4.5 out of 5 rating in our review, in which we praised its incredible design, sound, and overall feel. It’s also brimming with useful features, including an application that lets you fine-tune the sound. So suffice it to say, there’s no headphone more deserving of your hard-earned cash on the list.

The pièce de résistance? The Sony WH-1000XM3 — normally $350 but down to $269 (refurbished, but as good as new) — has the best noise-canceling we’ve ever experienced. It’s more than capable of blocking out the sound emitted by appliances, humans, and vehicles alike. Heck, we wouldn’t be surprised if it could silence the whirr of a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket.
